Dr. Avi Wurman has enjoyed practicing family, cosmetic and implant dentistry in Oshawa and Whitby for the past 39 years. He received his dental degree from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1985. Avi is continually updating his skills and knowledge by taking and participating in comprehensive courses in aesthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. It is important to Avi that his patients are given choices and that they are informed participants in their own dental health, and he is happy and patient to provide informed answers to all their questions.

Dr. Wurman has been involved in organized dentistry locally and internationally throughout his professional career. He is a Past President of the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club, and a past International President of the Alpha Omega International Dental Society. In 2019 Dr. Wurman was awarded a fellowship by the American College of Dentists, a respected organization that prides itself in advancing excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in dentistry.

Avi has been married to Dr. Sharon Sussman, a fellow dentist for the past 38 years. They have two children, Dr. Cory Wurman, a dentist in North York, and Dr. Ilana Wurman, a dentist in Mississauga.

In his spare time he enjoys skiing, playing tennis, and is a fan of all of Toronto's professional sports teams.
